Shannon has been a dog lover for as long as she can remember. She grew up with dogs and as soon as she was out on her own, she knew she couldn’t be without one! She eased into dog ownership by fostering with German Shepherd Rescue and Adoptions (GSRA) in 2004. Fostering and adopting out her first foster dog Mooky was such a great experience that she was hooked. She has been fostering and volunteering with GSRA ever since and absolutely adores the German Shepherd breed. Her involvement with GSRA and training her many fosters is what prompted her to leave her corporate 8-5 job in January 2012 to become a Certified Dog Trainer. She loves to watch a dog that is rough around the edges whip right into shape with a little work! She completed K9 Solutions Academy in June 2012 and went on to start Polka Dot Pack, LLC which provides Daycare, Overnight care, and Training. Shannon is also still involved with K9 Solutions and manages their Boarding School Program.
Shannon is married and has a 10 yr old daughter. Her Polka Dot Pack consists of her two dogs Moby and Kasey, as well as a cat, Cleo, who thinks she’s a dog!
